United have already brought in Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer, spending a combined £65m on the duo.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants more youngsters brought in before the end of the transfer window.
Starsport exclusively revealed the United boss is keen to make Newcastle star Sean Longstaff his third addition of the summer.
Longstaff is valued at around £25m this summer but the Red Devils are expected to try and poach him for significantly less in the coming weeks.
The second deal Solskjaer is eyeing is that of a new contract for Marcus Rashford.
The England international is close to signing a new deal which will see him earn £250,000-a-week.
Rashford's new contract will see him commit his future to United until the summer of 2024.
Solskjaer also wants to tie goalkeeper Dean Henderson down following his exploits last season.
